I heartily agree with all that you have said, and it is nice to hear it all the same. I had been gardening for a few years before I realised that I was producing organic tomatoes, rhubarb, raspberries etc – not because I was an environmentalist but because I didn’t see the need for noxious chemicals. But seeing the hype and the prices the supermarkets charge made me think and start to value what organic gardening is all about. So supermarkets did some good! LOL
