		<description>Field pea (also known as dry pea) differs from fresh peas in that field pea is marketed as a dry, shelled product for either human or animal food whereas fresh peas are typically marketed as a fresh vegetable for human consumption. 

Obviously you&#039;d have to grow them long enough for the pods to dry and then have to shell them and store the peas in a dry 
area.

Apparently you can also eat them while green and in the pod:</description>
