How can I make my roses grow some roots so I can plant them?
NIshzhoni asked:
I have a “brown thumb” but I know I can do this, with the help of those gardeners out there in this website. I had these two roses (from a bouquet) for two weeks and I think I can make them grow roots. If so, how long do I have to wait? I just wonder if I have to use some kind of fertilizer for the water… please advice me.

I have sprouted many roses by burying them in the ground, right where I wanted them to grow. If your bouquet is all stems, they might not grow into new plants… just wait and see.
I have numerous rose bushes, and find they grow easily from wood that is one year old. Usually, a bouquet is the new growth, NOT the year old wood.
For planting, bury a small piece that is 3 inches long, under one inch of soil. Put a few leaves on top as a mulch to keep it from drying out. Water well, once a week and in a few months, a new plant may emerge.
